Corrections Policy
We aim to be accurate, and when we get something wrong we fix it openly.
Reporting an error
If you spot a factual error, wrong figure or outdated information, write to us through the Contact page with the article link and the correction. Please include a source where possible.
How we correct
Material errors (wrong numbers, names, dates or conclusions) are corrected in the article and a correction note with the date is added at the end of the story. Minor fixes such as typos or formatting are made without a note.
What we do not do
We do not silently change published figures, and we do not change historical publication dates to make old stories look new. The updated time on an article reflects its latest material change.
Removals
We remove a story only in exceptional cases, such as legal requirements or when the core of the story is wrong. In that case we explain the removal where practical.
