Why Bank Nifty options behave differently
Bank Nifty is concentrated in a handful of large private and public sector banks, so a single heavyweight's result can move the whole index. That concentration makes it more volatile than the Nifty 50 and its options more expensive in percentage terms. Interest-rate expectations, credit growth data and RBI policy announcements are its key macro triggers.
Read open interest and PCR the same way as on the Nifty chain, but expect wider swings and faster changes in positioning.
